Part 1: Building Your Online Presence | This first session of our two-part workshop is designed to help small businesses and entrepreneurs establish a strong, professional presence online. Attendees will learn how to get discovered by potential customers by using digital tools built specifically for businesses. The session covers essential steps like writing clear business descriptions, uploading high-quality photos, selecting the right business categories, and ensuring contact information is consistent across platforms. Whether you're just getting started or refreshing your online listings, this course will give you the foundation you need to show up where people are searching. This is Part 1 of a two-part workshop. Register for Part 2 here → About the presenter Denise Brooks is a seasoned technology professional with a strong record of supporting business owners through practical, hands-on training and a variety of technology services at Alexis Information Systems. Over the years, she has drawn on her broad experience across various areas of information technology to form partnerships with local continuing education programs. Through these collaborations, she has served as an adjunct instructor, teaching courses in website development, programming principles and Microsoft applications. Denise has led training sessions and seminars throughout Arkansas and Oklahoma and was a familiar face at NWACC workforce development and ASBTDC business training for WordPress classes. She also was the E-commerce guest lecturer for Business and Computer Information Systems Division and guest speaker for Legacy National Bank business seminar on Unlock the Power of Instagram for Business. Few times per year, she holds business training courses at Alexis Information Systems. Her teaching style blends technical skill with real-world insight.
