About this event
Space for this program is limited; registration required. If you are registering a group larger than two individuals, please contact the Programs department at pao@prattlibrary.org or 410-396-5494. This program is recommended for individuals 55+; however, all are welcome. Join us for Enoch Pratt Free Library’s free luncheon series, which offers patrons an afternoon of engaging conversations, performances, and activities. Pratt is excited to work in partnership with several community organizations to bring in a variety of dynamic presenters and performers, with rich academic and artistic backgrounds to lead these programs. What’s on the menu: For November’s offering, Pratt is excited to welcome fiber artist Katherine Dilworth to guide our Serving Up Wisdom community in the art of Needle Felting. As 2026 draws to a close, we invite you all to reflect on the passage of time—whether it be this past year, your lived experiences, or your life journey as a whole—transforming those reflections into a powerful work of art through the therapeutic technique of needle felting. Using vibrantly dyed sheep wool fiber, participants will create a unique visual representation of the memories, emotions, people, or experiences that have shaped their stories. This program offers a welcoming space for creativity, mindfulness, and self-expression. There is no right or wrong way to approach this project. Whether you are celebrating personal growth, honoring challenges you have overcome, or simply exploring a new creative technique, you'll leave with a one-of-a-kind felted artwork that captures your reflections in a tangible and lasting form. Following the workshop, participants may also choose to take part in our regular book discussion group led by Pratt Librarians from the Fiction Dept. Lunch will be provided. Please contact the Programs department at pao@prattlibrary.org or 410-396-5494, if you have questions about registration or to request accommodations.
