Getting along without the Internet is not just a use case for \`doom preppers\` hiding in a bunker; it's about ownership, privacy, and resilience for all of us. Join Joshua Loscar[1] when he presents and demonstrates 2 projects to CINLUG that help solve that issue. * [Project Nomad](https://www.projectnomad.us/) brings terabytes of human knowledge and GPU-accelerated AI directly to your own hardware, completely severed from big tech and ISP dependency. * [Meshtastic](https://meshtastic.org/) handles off-grid text messaging using low-power LoRA radios. With it, you suddenly have a complete, self-hosted communications and knowledge stack that literally cannot be unplugged.
