About this event

All are welcome to visit the Shiloh Museum for a sensory-friendly evening Thursday, November 12, from 5:00 - 7:30 pm! Snacks and beverages will be provided. Admission is free. Please pre-register to attend using the attached form as space is limited. Explore the museum’s indoor exhibits highlighting life in the Arkansas Ozarks, ranging from prehistoric Ozarks to modern day. Visitors will experience reduced ambient noise, a designated low-light and low-noise lounge area with activities, and additional hands-on items to interact with within the museum’s exhibit hall. Visitors can also explore the historic buildings located outside on the museum’s grounds. An indoor museum sensory map will be available for download (coming soon!), and printed copies will be available at the museum’s front desk. Please also visit the front desk to check out items within the museum’s sensory-friendly item box, which includes noise-reducing headphones, fidget toys, squishable handheld foam balls, a weighted lap blanket, coloring books, and more. A limited number of each item is available. Some noise-making and light displays will be temporarily unavailable during these hours. Weather: If heavy rain is in the forecast, the museum will email registrants by 1:00 pm on November 12 to postpone the sensory-friendly evening […] \n
