Let's explore beyond brushes and pencils and immerse yourselves in the joy of tactile art as you get your hands full of paint and glue, experiment with textures and materials, and create something beautiful out of your endless imaginations! Discover four hands-on, sensory-inspired art experiences in our Sensory Art Workshop Series: THE ART OF COLLAGE Tuesday, September 15th from 6:00pm to 8:00pm Give new meanings to everyday materials you already have at home--from the magazines you no longer read to old memorable (or not) photographs to fabric from that shirt you loved a little too much in your younger years. Cut, arrange, layer, and glue your way to a one-of-a-kind work of art THE ART OF FINGER PAINTING Sunday October 11th from 12:30pm - 2:30pm Leave the brushes behind and let your hands do the painting! Explore color, movement, and texture as you express yourself and create a piece of art directly with your fingers. Everything will be provided--you just have bring your hands and your imaginations! THE ART OF TISSUES AND TEXTURES Sunday, November 8th from 12:30pm - 2:30pm Discover how ordinary materials can become extraordinary masterpieces! Experiment with color, texture, and dimension through tissue papers. Tear, crinkle, crumple and layer your way to a special piece of art that you can not only see but feel, as well! THE ART OF CHAINMAILLE JEWELRY Sunday, December 13th from 12:30pm - 2:30pm Whether you’re new to chainmaille or simply looking to try something different, this fascinating art form is a fun way to turn simple links into something truly unique that you can wear and enjoy. Twist, weave, link, and create your own striking piece of wearable art! Everything will be provided. Must be 18 and up to register. Each workshop is a standalone.
