About this event

1st Floor Meeting Room. Celebrate National Seed Swap Day at the library! Bring your own, or pick some up while you're here. ___ National Seed Swap Day was started by Kathy Jentz, editor of Washington Gardener Magazine, in 2006. On the last Saturday in January, gardeners gather to swap seeds to start their gardens for the coming year. When considering seeds to bring, please DO NOT bring these types of seeds: - Seeds considered illegal by either the State of Ohio or the United States - Seeds from an unknown plant - Genetically engineered plants, F1 hybrids, poisonous, noxious, or controlled seeds, and plants - Patented Seeds or Plants If you don't have any seeds to swap, don't worry; the library will provide some to take while supplies last.
