Second Sunday Speaker Series at Abbey Theater in Dublin, OH on Saturday, May 9, 2026.
The Dublin Historical Society presents a speaker series highlighting the history, heritage, and stories of Dublin and the surrounding area. All programs take place from 3 to 4:30 p.m. (including a Q&A session). They will be held in the lower-level meeting room at the Columbus Metropolitan Library — Dublin Branch, located at 75 N. Sunday, March 8: Register — Dr. Mark Stechschulte MD, a retired gastroenterologist, presents "Tracing the History of Medicine in Dublin, Ohio: An examination of five community physicians and the common health concerns, illnesses, and health crises Dublin faced from its founding until the mid-1960s." Sunday, April 12: Register — Dr. Sarah K Douglas PhD, a senior lecturer at The Ohio State University, presents "The American Revolution: How a fledgling Continental Army grew, adapted, and persevered to win America’s independence." Sunday, May 10: Register — Dan Sullivan, Executive Director of the Memorial Tournament, and Dave Shedloski, Editor of The Memorial magazine, team up to present "50th Anniversary of the Memorial Tournament: Key moments in tournament history and Jack Nicklaus’ inspiration behind creating Muirfield Village Golf Club." Sunday, June 14: Register — Kathleen Fulmer Waller, past regent of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) Ann Simpson Davis Chapter, presents "Honoring Our Patriot Ancestors: A brief history of the DAR, including contributions of the Ann Simpson Davis Chapter and highlights of other local patriots."
