Seattle Opera: Salome (on Halloween!)

Hello Classical Music Lovers, Come for a special Halloween performance of Salome! I can't think of anything more Halloween than hearing this Opera (with a libretto adapted from a play by Oscar Wilde). It is creepy, shocking, and the music is simply incredible. The Seattle Opera description is below. We'll meet starting an hour before (though fee free to come later than that). For those who want a discount code, please email me directly. Adapted from the Oscar Wilde play of the same name, Salome has been thrilling and shocking audiences since its premiere in 1905. And it's easy to see why: a biblical story complete with a lecherous king, a willful princess, and an unyielding prophet is bound to get attention. Add in a power struggle, a dangerous obsession, and a dance that scandalizes audiences to this day, all set to Strauss's iconic music, and you're in for a wild and gripping performance. 7:30pm\|McCaw Hall Conductor Benjamin Manis Salome Brenda Rae Composer Strauss Libretto Oscar Wilde Location and Links: Message me for a discount code if you are interested!
