Scandinavian Star Workshop

Stars brighten the long night of winter in Scandinavia – Finland, Denmark, Sweden, and Norway. As a traditional Swedish Christmas song says, “There is no sign of dawn, even if it seems to be. It is the shining star, promising the day to come.” Bridget Van Remortel, president of the Tri-State Basketry Guild, first discovered an older, traditional pattern for Scandinavian Stars at Earth Guild, and it enchanted her so much that now she leads workshops on making these stars. The Scandinavian Stars Workshop with Bridget will happen from 1pm to 4pm on Saturday. Learn the art of traditional Scandinavian star making in this hands-on December workshop! All materials are provided, and each participant will leave with their own beautifully crafted Scandinavian star to take home.
