About this event
Come receive materials and training in how to assist people affected by scams and fraud. --- Increase your awareness for prevention of new types of frauds and scams, and receive a Certificate of Completion. We will also demonstrate communication techniques for effective, respectful intervention when necessary. This will be especially helpful for anyone whose job or volunteering involves serving elders or any vulnerable population. Information from The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and the Federal Trade Commission will be presented, demonstrated, and distributed.
