San Pedro Parks 5.5 miles 500 feet of elevation gain Trail hiking through meadows and forests San Gregorio Reservoir Average elevation 9500 In-N-Out Comfortable pace with stops San Pedro Parks is located in the Nacimiento Mountains northeast of Cuba. The area is known for the meadows (parks) that are scattered throughout the wilderness. We will hike by San Gregorio Reservoir and continue up the lush trail to Vallecitos Damian which is a huge meadow and good turn around point. The trail has a few short rocky sections, but it is easy to make good time on the wide trail, The grade is gradual and a pleasant walk. We will drive to Cuba and take NM Highway 126 for about 10 miles before taking a good dirt road to the parking lot for the trailhead, which takes two hours to reach from Santa Fe. Please pay your driver $20. Any vehicle can make it to the trail head. Pets are okay.
