Rising from Kencot with a passion nurtured in the church, he broke onto the scene with his acclaimed debut album “Black Gold” (2017), produced by Rory ‘Stonelove’ Gilligan, featuring the breakout hit Rasta Nuh Gangsta (10M+ YouTube views, 6M+ Spotify streams). Since then, Samory I has collaborated with reggae heavyweights including Protoje and Jesse Royal, released standout singles such as “Life Is Amazing” and “Love and Mercy”, and delivered his 2023 album Strength, named one of Rolling Stone’s 100 Best Albums of the Year.
