Rumba I (beginners) - 6 Weeks Course (Progressive Course)

RUMBA I (BEGINNING COURSE) Group Class – 6 Weeks MONDAYS at 8pm – commencing on MONDAY, JULY 13th, 2026 6 consecutive Mondays at 8pm Cost: $89 per Person for 6 Weeks (1 person) $178 per Person for 6 Weeks (couple) 👞👠 Shoes/Clothing \- clothing should comfortable and suitable for dancing/moving; please bring a change of clean/dry shoes \(not worn outside\); if you don't have dance shoes yet\, dress shoes are best; typical tennis shoes are worst \(they stick to the dance floor and prevent your feet from pivoting/turning\)\. CLASS LEVEL (BEGINNING): We will teach technique, fundamental steps and all the essentials for beginning RUMBA. A partner is not required, we regularly rotate students during the class. \-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\- Rumba is universally recognized as the dance of love. It is danced to slow, sensual music with a Latin beat and features a hip action known as “Cuban Motion.” Rumba is derived from the Afro-Caribbean dance “Son” and has been popular in this country as a ballroom dance since the 1930’s. Rumba is often called the “dance of love”, distinguished by its romantic feel. It is a non=progressive dance with continuous, flowing Cuban motion which gives Rumba its sensual look.
