Time is fleeting. And once again, Rocky Horror is taking over Barking Legs Theater. Seed Theatre’s annual production of The Rocky Horror Picture Show is anything but your average shadowcast. This is a full-scale, Broadway-style theatrical production performed live alongside the cult-classic film—combining the beloved tradition of Rocky Horror shadowcasting with the costumes, choreography, lighting, staging, and production value of a fully realized stage musical. As the film plays on the big screen, a complete cast brings every moment to life directly in front of it: singing, dancing, strutting, seducing, and recreating the glorious chaos of Frank-N-Furter’s castle in real time. The result is part movie screening, part live theatre, part audience ritual—and 100% Rocky Horror. Seed Theatre approaches Rocky Horror with the same professionalism and artistic ambition as any mainstage production. Our cast and production team spend months building a show that honors the film audiences have loved for generations while creating something unmistakably Seed: bold, queer, theatrical, unapologetic, and spectacularly over-the-top. And because this is Rocky Horror, the audience is part of the experience. Whether you’ve been shouting callbacks for decades or this is your very first trip to the Frankenstein Place, you’re invited to dress up, participate, laugh loudly, and surrender yourself to absolute pleasure.
