A chance encounter between a well-known film director and a fledgling painter becomes an ambling meditation on relationships in Hong Sangs-oo's wry and gentle Right Now, Wrong Then. A surprising twist invites viewers to consider the weight of small details and divides the film into two halves: "Right Then, Wrong Now" and "Right Now, Wrong Then."
