Richmond Symphony at Hardywood!

This program explores the rich colors and contrasts of wind and brass music across centuries. From the elegance and sparkle of Mozart’s Eine Kleine Nachtmusik to the shadowed intensity of Shostakovich and Richard Strauss, the concert moves between light and dark, classical clarity and Romantic depth. Dvořák’s warm lyricism and Gabrieli’s grand, antiphonal writing highlight the expressive range of winds and brass, while Anthony Plog’s Four Sketches brings a dynamic modern voice to the ensemble. Together, these works create a vivid journey through sound—bold, intimate, and full of character. PURCHASE TICKETS
