About this event
Returning to work after having a baby can be one of the most challenging transitions mothers face. This workshop provides practical tools and evidence-based insights to help women navigate postpartum recovery, manage stress, and prepare for the return-to-work transition by focusing on four key areas: informed advocacy around birth and postpartum experiences, nourishment that supports healing and energy, simple somatic tools that help regulate the nervous system, and practical planning strategies that make daily life more manageable. By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to: Identify key factors that influence postpartum wellbeing and understand how birth experiences, recovery, and workplace expectations impact the transition back to work. Recognize practical ways to support their physical and emotional health through simple nourishment strategies and sustainable self-care habits during the postpartum period. Practice basic somatic and breath-based techniques that help regulate stress and support nervous system recovery during the early stages of motherhood. Develop simple planning strategies and routines that help make the return-to-work transition more manageable for both family life and professional responsibilities. For disability accommodations, call 479.856.7250 or email questions@faylib.org 2-3 weekdays before a program. Plan your visit by viewing our building map and details on accessibility services.
