Join us for a book talk with author Melanie Thomas, fresh from her appearance at the 2026 Kansas Book Festival. “Unearthing a Story,” is Melanie's presentation that takes a personal look at her father’s life in paleontology and her own family’s deep connection to the University of Kansas. Her book, Old Man of the Fossil Beds, offers a fascinating look at the remarkable fossil discoveries of western Kansas and the people whose curiosity and persistence helped uncover them.
