About this event
From stillness to dance - the title traces this program's arc. The Worthington Chamber Orchestra opens its Resonant Masterworks season, and its celebration of the 200th anniversary of Beethoven's death, with Rimsky-Korsakov's dazzling Capriccio espagnol and Falla's Nights in the Garden of Spain, featuring guest pianist Orlay Alonso. It culminates in Beethoven's Symphony No. 7, which Wagner called "the apotheosis of the dance" - a fitting opening for a season built around his legacy.
