Whether your hands already know how to heal what is broken, or you have a treasured object waiting for its second chance, join Flatbush Library for an interactive program series on repair and storytelling. Brooklyn Public Library invites you to the Repurposeful Ancestry Lab—a free, creative community space at Flatbush Library where we celebrate our heritage through the everyday items we rescue and repair. On Internation Repair Day, join us for our third "repair walk" in this series. We'll meet at Flatbush Library at 10:30 AM and the walk will end at Clarendon Library at 12:30 PM. During these walks, we will visit and interview local practitioners who repair, reuse, and transform objects—collecting stories and documenting these often-unsung practices in our neighborhoods. Our goal is to build a digital map of the people, places, resources, and stories connected to repair and reuse traditions across Brooklyn.
