About this event
Bertha Wood Meeting Room, Thomas Branch. Lights, camera- conversation! This film discussion functions like a book club; watch the feature on your own and gather at the library to discuss with other movie lovers. The title is available to stream on Kanopy and on DVD at the library. This month’s title: The Holdovers. A curmudgeonly instructor at a New England prep school remains on campus during Christmas break to babysit a handful of students with nowhere to go. He soon forms an unlikely bond with a brainy but damaged troublemaker, and with the school's head cook, a woman who just lost a son in the Vietnam War. For adults ages 18 and up. Registration opens November 19. Register online or call 219-926-7696 to reserve your spot.
