About the Author Uzma Farooq is a Miami native, author, physician, and mother of 3 amazing boys. As a special needs family, she draws inspiration from her middle son, who is autistic. Her passion led to the publication of her debut children's book, co-authored with two of her sons. This award-winning book has received multiple honors, including the prestigious 2025 Parent's Picks Award from Parents magazine for Best Elementary School Product.
