Rake-a-thon @Marquam Nature Park!

🌲In partnership with Forest Park Conservancy Come join us in a community effort to rake Marquam Nature Park's trails! When leaves are left on our trails, they hold water, hide tripping hazards, and create mud. Raking leaves off our trails each autumn helps keep them in good shape throughout the winter, as well as keep trail users safer. 🗓️When: Saturday, November 14th, 2026 from 9am-12pm. 📍Where: Marquam Nature Park Shelter. Parking is limited. Carpooling is encouraged! A portable restroom will be available at this site. 🍂What: Raking. We will be working on the trails, which require hiking (up to 3 miles) and physical labor in the forest (up to 2.5 hours). 🥾Bring/Wear: Long pants, long socks, and sturdy, closed-toe tennis shoes or hiking boots with good traction are required for your safety. Long-sleeved shirts and weather appropriate layers for sun/wind/rain are also recommended. Make sure to bring a water bottle - many folks find it beneficial to bring a small backpack as well. If you have any allergies, please bring medications in case of emergency! Training, tools, snacks, coffee, and work gloves will be provided. ☀️☔️Rain or Shine! 🍁🍁🍁Please register both thru Meetup and directly with FPC: https://forestparkconservancy.galaxydigital.com/need/detail/?need_id=1318966 Thank you for volunteering!
