Radio Americano

The brainchild of seasoned veterans of Rochester’s Latin music scene, Radio Americano brings the spirit of Bugalu music to Lovin Cup’s stage for the first time! What the heck is Bugalu music? It’s a blend of traditional (we’re talking centuries of tradition!) Latin music and American pop music. Back in the day, it was like Spanish Harlem does Motown and/or Buddy Holly. We do some of that! We do classic salsa (think Willie Colon and Hector Lavoe, or Ray Barretto)! We also bring our flavor to Carole King, Bill Withers, Sia, LCD Soundsystem, and more! Our instrumentation is unique: Flute! Bari Sax! Drum set and two incredible percussionists! More importantly, we’re an all-inclusive, very fun dance party and we would love for you to come dance, sing, and gosar with us. Please join us on April 24th at Lovin Cup from 8-11!
