This workshop offers an introduction to the traditional publishing process, guiding participants through the often unfamiliar world of literary agents, query letters, and manuscript submissions. Together we will explore how authors prepare their work for submission, research literary agents, and craft professional query materials that communicate both story and voice. Participants will learn how to evaluate manuscript readiness, understand the components of a strong pitch, and approach agent research with intention and professionalism. The session also examines the elements of a compelling query letter, submission materials beyond the query, and insights into the realities of the publishing industry. Write On!
