Date: Thursday, September 17th Time: 5:30 PM – 9:30 PM Location: KCRep This September, Queer Arts Club is heading to KCRep for Come From Away, the award-winning Broadway musical about thousands of airline passengers stranded in a small Newfoundland town following 9/11 and the remarkable community that welcomed them. We'll start the night at 5:30 PM with a Queer Arts Club Piano Party featuring live piano, drinks, and time to meet your fellow theatergoers before the 7:00 PM curtain. There's a queer story at the heart of the show, too. Kevin T. and Kevin J. arrive in rural Newfoundland unsure how openly they can be themselves as a gay couple. Instead, they find acceptance in one of the places they least expected it. Funny, moving, and full of incredible music, Come From Away is ultimately a story about belonging, generosity, and finding community in unexpected places.
