About this event
Psychedelic Professionals Meetup Groups are happening! Let's keep Colorado on the leading edge of psychedelic medicine work by coming together in community to learn, share, and grow. Each *Psychedelic Professionals Meet* gathering starts with an informative topic relevant to research, practice, policy, or activism around psychedelic medicines, followed by open discussion and an opportunity to connect with like-minded others. On **the last Wednesday of each month** we are excited to offer a **Psychedelic Professionals Meet** in Colorado Springs! Join local professionals in a casual, friendly space where we can connect and meet other like-minded practitioners and activists. Join us on **Wednesday, August 26th**, for an evening of thoughtful dialogue exploring ethics, accountability, informed consent, and harm reduction across both regulated and non-regulated medicine spaces. Together, we'll examine what informed consent truly means, how power and responsibility are held within psychedelic communities, and how we can strengthen the relationships, cultures, and systems of care that support safe, ethical practice while honoring personal autonomy. The evening will be guided by a council of respected community leaders, including Nowak Society Board members **Lisa Fox**, **Bri Bendixsen**, **Lucia Terpak**, and **Sarah Hope**, Licensed Natural Medicine Facilitator and co-founder of NBIC. Together, we'll hold space for an honest conversation about shared accountability, consent, transparency, preparation, screening, harm reduction, and the responsibilities that come with serving others in vulnerable and transformative spaces. This gathering is not about blame or judgment. It is about coming together with curiosity, humility, and compassion to ask difficult questions, learn from one another, and explore how we can continue weaving a stronger relational fabric of trust, integrity, and collective care within our psychedelic community.
