Glenn Hughes is an English musician, singer, and songwriter, widely known as the “Voice of Rock” due to his incredible vocal range and soulful, bluesy hard rock style. His career spans decades and multiple legendary bands. Deep Purple: He is perhaps most famous for his tenure as the bassist and co-lead vocalist for Deep Purple (Mark III and IV) from 1973 to 1976, contributing to classic albums like Burn and Stormbringer. Early Career: Before Deep Purple, he was the bassist and lead vocalist for the band Trapeze. Black Sabbath: He also briefly served as the vocalist for Black Sabbath on the album Seventh Star. Supergroup Work: Hughes is a founding member of the supergroup Black Country Communion with Joe Bonamassa, Jason Bonham, and Derek Sherinian, and he has also been the lead singer and bassist for The Dead Daisies. Solo Work: He maintains an active and prolific solo career, blending hard rock, funk, and soul. His solo albums include Play Me Out (1977), Resonate (2016), and the upcoming Chosen (2025). His influential career has cemented his place as one of the most respected and versatile vocalists in rock history. Enuff Z’nuff is a living, breathing example of what a rock/ pop group should be. The band was formed in 1984 in Blue Island, Illinois. Its first release, “Fingers On It,” gave the band some initial recognition when the track was featured in the 1986 cult movie Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer. By 1989, original members, Chip Z’Nuff and Donnie Vie were joined by guitarist Derek Frigo and drummer Vikki Foxx. Two HIT singles changed the course of the band’s history, ‘New Thing’ and ‘Fly High Michelle.’ Both songs were played constantly on the radio and gained heavy rotation on MTV spending over 60 weeks in the top 10, and they’re still playing these songs today!
