This walk will count for 7 miles of your total.** Poets of New York Part 3 - Edgar Allan Poe - to help set the mood for Halloween, we will explore some of the areas where Poe lived and spent time in Greenwich Village, ending in the Upper West side, 1 train station at 86th St and Broadway. We will meet at 915 for a prompt 930 start at Houston and Varick 1 train station. Unfortunately, we will not be going to the Poe House in the Bronx (it's open on the weekends). About 7 miles. Fast steady pace, 3+ miles an hour. Few rest stops. Bring snacks and water. We will be reading some of his poetry along the way.
