About this event
Upstairs, Room 201. This December, join us for a dimly lit evening of shared poetry at the Cupertino Library. Voices of all ages, cultures, and languages come together to share the power of the spoken and written word. Each participant may read their poem(s) aloud to their group. Hosted by Thomas Célérier - Cupertino Poet Laureate All are welcome. No prior experience necessary. Plan for 1 or 2 poems to share in the language of your choice (with translation or not). This could be your own poem(s) or the one(s) from an author you like. Open to poets, storytellers, elders, youth, and first-time readers alike. Let’s gather to listen deeply, celebrate difference, and honor the many languages that shape our community. We look forward to seeing you there! For accessibility accommodations (ex. ASL), please fill out the online form at sccld.org/accessibility 7+ days prior to the event. If you need assistance with the form, speak with a staff member at your local library, call (408) 540-3945, or email us at ask@lib.sccgov.org.
