In meeting room.. Please join us for an interactive uncovering of the poetry structures, techniques, and devices that lead to layers of understanding from various perspectives. At each session, we will conduct an "autopsy" of an expressive poem, facilitated by Michael Darcher, who received a BA in English from the University of Portland and an MFA in Creative Writing and an MA in Literature from the University of Montana. Until he retired in 2016, Michael was an English professor at Pierce College, where he taught creative writing and founded SLAM, a student literary arts magazine. He is the author of Odd Comfort, a poetry chapbook, and The Silver State Stories, a story collection. His poems and stories have appeared in numerous literary reviews.
