This screening will be introduced by guest conductor Morihiko Nakahara, who will lead the Portland Symphony Orchestra in performances of “The Music of Studio Ghibli” on October 10 and 11. Tickets for this screening are free for PSO concert ticketholders! Sophie, a quiet hat shop worker, has her life upended when she is cursed by the Witch of the Waste into an old woman’s body. Seeking to break the spell, she boards the magical moving castle of the mysterious wizard Howl. Sophie finds herself embroiled in a fantastical adventure and a dangerous war of sorcery, forcing her to protect both herself and Howl.
