An Evening with Plays for Living March 30, 2027 | 7 p.m. Belbas Theater Free admission Join us for a free public performance featuring three short, thought-provoking plays presented by young performers from Spotlight Theatre Company. Now celebrating its 25th anniversary, Plays for Living uses theatre to explore important social issues and inspire meaningful conversations. These performances invite audiences to experience the program beyond its school and community tour. Featured Plays Survivors Recommended for seventh grade and older This play explores depression and suicide prevention while encouraging teenagers to recognize the importance of hope, support and seeking help. By Leslie Glass Directed by Jeff Larsen Cast: Aidan Wescott as Eric Alexa Robbins as Mary Bella Maxon as Tiffany Kaiden Jundt as Jerry Mikayla Jundt as Stephanie Monster in the Mirror Recommended for fourth grade and older Blending humor and drama, this play follows middle schoolers navigating online bullying and body image while exploring the impact of online behavior. By Katelynn Kenney Directed by Dr. Jayna Gearhart Fitzsimmons Cast: Autumn Noteboom as Mirror Quinn/Fairy Dog Mother Ellie Brown as Jo Emelia DeJong as Mirror Jo/Todd the Frog Madeleine Gedney as Narrator/Professors Scarlett Sampson as Quinn A New Norm Recommended for third grade and older Based on the book by Tom Roberts, this musical explores anxiety, depression, grief, anger, doubt, shame and fear while reminding audiences that hope and help are available.
