Picnic Rock Loop Hike

Picnic Rock View Loop via Tahoe Rim Trail and Martis Tie Road is 5.5 mile, with a elevation gain of 833 feet, This loop will take you up to a unique rock formation known as Picnic Rock. The formation is located atop a peak at 7776 feet in elevation. A short spur off of the Tahoe Rim Trail will take you to Picnic Rock. This point is a great spot to stop and take a break, or a photo opportunity. For those of you who might be interested in car pooling up to the trailhead, we'll meet at 7:00 AM in between the IHOP and Instant Smog on North McCarran Blvd (take Sierra Highlands Dr) .
