Let's knit in the park! Bring your current fiber arts project and your favorite NA beverage to enjoy the company of fellow humans while stitching. New folks are always welcome. Most people in this group knit or crochet, but you'll also see people mending, cross-stitching, embroidering, and sewing. We also offer free knitting lessons and supplies. Ask a question, let us know you'd like to learn, or join our Discord by sending a quick email to: shelli.martineau@gmail.com TL;DR Who: Everyone When: Tuesdays, 6pm-8pm Where: Volunteer Park. We'll be at the Great Lawn in front of the Volunteer Park Amphitheater, located on the west side of the main park road, directly across from the Seattle Asian Art Museum and just north of the water reservoir. Suggested Donation: $3/month through Meetup (free membership is available too. Just ask!). Bring: A chair or blanket to sit on. Your current project. A snack and NA drink. Accessibility: Volunteer Park is highly accessible, featuring a wheelchair-friendly loop, ADA-compliant paths, and designated ADA parking on Volunteer Park Road near the Seattle Asian Art Museum. There are fully accessible, modern restrooms and water fountains. We do not require masks. *Contact us if you need help with accommodations or have any questions.* Help Keep Our Meetings Safe: Be Excellent to Each Other This group exists so people can relax, make things with their hands, and spend time with other humans. We ask that all members agree to the following: Be kind. This is an inclusive space open to people of all ages, genders, races, orientations, & skill levels. Treat each other with respect and assume good intentions. Consent matters, even with yarn. Ask before offering critique, jumping in to help, or taking someone’s project out of their hands. Some people want advice. Some people just want to vent. No gatekeeping. Fiber arts are art. Art is subjective. There is no single “right way." Share…
