Photographing Hummingbirds - with Daniel Zdonczyk

Please join us for our April monthly meeting (moved to Friday, April 10, due to the Easter weekend.) Our guest speaker will be accomplished photographer Daniel Zdonczxyk, sharing years of experience photographing hummingbirds. Also, please enter our digital image competition, PEOPLE PERFORMING -*"One or more persons, such as street musicians, clowns or dancers on stage."* SPS friend, Lauren Holley of the Atlanta Urban Photo Walkers, will be judging this month's competition. In this presentation, Daniel will cover the technical aspects of camera and lens settings, plus types of assisted lighting, which can extend the natural light hours to maximize hummingbird photography opportunities. He will also share a personalized approach to composition that allows the hummingbird's tame behavior and personality to show through. Daniel is a neurologist and his interest in human-bird interactions gradually influenced him to focus on hummingbird photography for the past 12 years. Daniel has taken multiple trips to South and Central America, and can share his experience and information about the best places to go for hummingbird photography.
