About this event

The theme for the night is what does philosophy say about freedom? How do different philosophies approach freedom, and how much of it do we really have? The short story that we will discuss on this theme will be: The Man in a Case by Anton Chekhov [https://americanliterature.com/author/anton-chekhov/short-story/the-man-in-a-case](https://americanliterature.com/author/anton-chekhov/short-story/the-man-in-a-case) (No pressure to have a perfect understanding of the text! Even just a quick read through is fine). Just like last time, we are getting our own reserved space next door to the bar. During downtime or before the event you can visit the main entrance steps away to grab a drink or food. If you've never been to one of our events before, we make them a space where we can inspire each other, learn from one another, and be open about our thoughts. It's one of those rare third spaces where you can have fun discussing deep questions and have meaningful conversations! We're also trying out a new structure with much more open and free discussion time at the end! So for the last hour of the event after the guided discussions you can now catch up on the conversations with all the new people you met through the event while enjoying great drinks and food. *Free parking is located directly behind the bar!
