Peter Fletcher - Classical Guitar Performance

Pikes Peak Library District (PPLD) welcomes classical guitarist Peter Fletcher for a 60-minute concert of music on the guitar, featuring music by J.S. Bach, Gaspar Sanz, and many others. American Classical Guitarist Peter Fletcher made his formal debut at age 15 under the auspices of The Brasstown Concert Association in North Carolina. Wrote the critic of The Cherokee Scout, “He has technical facility but what one remembers about his playing is the nuances, the poetical phrasing, dynamic and tonal changes, his harmonics, his cadences.” He studied at Eastman School of Music and made his Carnegie Hall debut in 2007. Peter released his tenth CD, entitled Peter Fletcher in Concert, on February 18 of last year and tours annually coast to coast. He will return to Carnegie Hall on April 10, 2027 Peter divides his time between Detroit, where he recently purchased a vintage home in the historic North Rosedale Park neighborhood, and New York City. His interests outside of music include reading, gardening, and cross-country cycling.
