About this event
We are embarking on a very special endeavor! The Penguin Project is for special needs artists (ages roughly 10-25) to work on a theatrical production (Honk Jr.) with the aid of a mentor (ages roughly 12-25). This is a national project, and BST will be the first theatre in Montana to produce a Penguin Project show. Rehearsals will be twice a week starting in December (possibly more as we near show dates) . We will have informational meetings for artists and mentors (and their parents/guardians) at Lewis and Clark Middle School on Thursday October 1st, and Tuesday October 13th at 630 pm in the auditorium. Please enter through door #6 off of 14th Street West. Honk Jr. Honk Jr. tells the tale of Ugly. He looks quite a bit different from his darling duckling brothers and sisters. The other animals on the farm are quick to notice and point this out, despite his mother’s protective flapping. Feeling rather foul about himself, the little fowl finds himself on an adventure of self-discovery, all the while unknowingly outwitting a very hungry cat. Along the way, Ugly meets a whole flock of unique characters and finds out being different is not a bad thing to be. SHOW DATES – April 23, 24, 25, 2027 (at Billings Skyview High School)
