Want to chat with other parents about the parenting book you just read? Are you looking for a place to discuss the joys and difficulties of raising kids? Join us for Parenting and Paperbacks! We will be talking about a specific topic. You are invited to read a book and come ready to add to the conversation. If you don't have the opportunity to read a book, come for the discussion anyway! This time, we'll be talking about teaching life skills. Books on this topic include How to Raise An Adult; Life Skills for Teens; This Is So Awkward; Life Skills; Making Bank; The Little Book of Life Skills; Mind in the Making; The Useful Book; Life Skills for Kids; Adulting 101; How to Teach Life Skills to Kids with Autism or Asperger’s; Money Skills for Teens; Show Me How; Secrets of Adulthood; How to be a Person; The Seven Habits of Highly Effective Families; 1001 Things Every Teen Should Know Before They Leave Home; The Care and Keeping of You; Guy Stuff; The Lazy Genius Way; Secrets of Adulthood; and Adulthood for Beginners. We welcome kids to come along with their grownups. We'll lay out some toys, but you are responsible for your child while in the library. This program is hosted by library staff.
