Discover how sustainability and printmaking come together in this hands-on papermaking workshop. Using recycled paper pulp, you’ll create handmade sheets that are transformed into one-of-a-kind works of art through linocut embossment. Participants will learn how to pull a sheet of handmade paper, add color and texture, then press it over a carved linoleum block to create a beautiful embossed design. Along the way, you’ll explore the basics of papermaking, simple linoleum carving techniques, and how pressure can create raised textures without traditional ink printing. By the end of the workshop, you’ll leave with handmade embossed paper that can be framed, used in bookbinding, greeting cards, collage, or future mixed-media projects. No previous papermaking or printmaking experience is required. Duration: 3 Hours Class Size: Limited to 8-10 students, to ensure personalized instruction and access to equipment.
