CLICK HERE FOR ONLINE TICKETING. “Music in the Gallery” returns with a unique performance by Pangelic, a harp and steelpan duo featuring harpist Faye Seeman and steelpan artist Liam Teague. They are joined in this performance by Jaden Teague-Nunez on piano, the “plus” in Pangelic Plus. Enjoy a rarely heard blend of sounds, performed by a trio of acclaimed artists. Pangelic offers audiences a fresh and exciting blend of sonorities. Stepping outside conventional boundaries, Pangelic plays original compositions, jazz standards, and classics with improvisation arranged to compliment each instrument. Steelpan virtuoso Liam Teague offers a color palette of sounds, while harpist Faye Seeman, known for her musical versatility, provides a tapestry of creative ideas for the duo. Pangelic can be heard in recital at Northern Illinois University, on youtube, presenting master classes at colleges and universities, and concertizing throughout the Midwest. Together the spectrum of sounds created by these stellar musicians leaves listeners asking for more. About Liam Teague Liam Teague is Professor of Music and Director of Steelpan Studies at Northern Illinois University (NIU), where he also leads the renowned NIU Steelband. Teague is the recipient of an NIU Board of Trustees Professorship Award (2022) and a Presidential Research, Scholarship and Artistry Professor Award (2018). Hailed as the “Paganini of the Steelpan”, his commitment to demonstrating the great musical possibilities of the steelpan has taken him to throughout the world, and he has received many awards from his homeland of Trinidad and Tobago, including the Hummingbird National Award (Silver) and the Ansa McAl Caribbean Award for Excellence. In 2022, The San Fernando City Council honored Teague with the Keys to the City of San Fernando, his hometown in Trinidad and Tobago.
