**Travel Bug has been hosting Saturday talks for over twenty years!** Presented by **Stephanie Gardner** Join filmmaker and traveler Stephanie Gardner as she shares her adventure stories with historical context through the independent island-nation of Palau, in the Western Pacific. Stephanie spent a month exploring Palau while on break between filming her latest "Cinema Nomad " episodes. What she discovered is a small island-chain with a friendly population and a fascinating history that includes indigenous Belauan cultures; to German-then-Spanish-then-Japanese-then American occupations, and road to its own independence as an island at the center of ecologically-minded advocacy. Palau has some of the best preserved coral reefs left on the planet and a rich marine life.
