Painting With Natural Pigments

Instructor: Alexandra Marshall Date/Time: Sunday, October 25, 10am – 12 noon Cost: $20 Del Ray Artisans member / $30 Non-member; plus a $5 Supply Fee Class size: 2-15 participants (Register by October 21) Prepare yourself for a morning of inspiration, creation, and connection to the natural roots of Texcoco lake. In this workshop, we’ll learn how to paint with nature, using pigments from spirulina and other natural resources that come from the ancient lake Texcoco. Experiment with new artistic forms, find inspiration in nature, and learn a bit about the rich history of the unique ecosystem at lake Texcoco (who knew that they have harvested spirulina there since the times of the Aztecs??) All supplies are included in the supplies fee. Students may bring their own paintbrushes or canvases if they wish.
