Each October, YWCA Spokane’s Domestic Violence Action Month (DVAM) campaign is designed to raise awareness in our community, center survivor’s voices, and inspire collective action to end intimate partner violence. In Spokane County, it is estimated that 1 in 3 women and 1 in 10 men have experienced some form of domestic violence. Domestic violence continues to be the number one call to 911 and is often one of the most dangerous calls for police to respond to. Learn more about this year’s campaign at ywcaspokane.org/dvam.
