Other Dimensions in Sound is our Friday music series curated and hosted by Boohaabian multi reed player extraordinare David Boyce. Each week David will be inviting different musical guests to join him in our galeria for a night of musical medicina. Tonight’s double dose of sonic sustenance is being brought to you by Wandering Clouds & Warm Spell Wandering Clouds is made up of Jaroba on tenor sax and bass clarinet; Kersti Abrams on alto sax and flute; Mike Villarreal on drums; and Eli Pontecorvo on bass. We have collectively and individually been wandering through a variety of sonic worlds over the years, and come together periodically to improvise music reflecting our commonalities and differences. Warm Spell is a vehicle and seeks to melt the experience of their listeners into a shared consciousness for a rare moment in the everyday of space and time, to recognize the possibilities of a life based on collectivity and playfulness. Warm Spell is an improv group consisting of Bay Area musicians who come together infrequently to jive. They will often be: vocalist/percussion (Marina Lazzara), Bass (Brian Lucas), Guitar (Tammy Fortin), Farfisa (JLee), Violin (Kevin Van YserLoo), Richard Marriot (Conch Shell, Flute, Trumpet).
