Ornament Painting Class with Val Voigt

Holmes Art Studio 806 Summit Ave, Detroit Lakes, MN 56501 Monday, December 7th, 2026 5 PM – 7:30 PM $30 REGISTER HERE Paint along with Val and learn the techniques to create two different scenes on wooden ornaments. All supplies are included in the class fee, wooden ornaments, with jute twine, paints, brushes and apron to use during the class. Attendees may want to wear a paint shirt. Class is for beginners to advanced painters. This class has a relaxed atmosphere and is meant for you to have fun while learning to paint. Students complete the painting during the class session. You leave with your two completed ornaments. Pre Registration is required! All Classes are final sale unless event is canceled. Meet your instructor: Val Voigt Since the age of 18, Val Voigt has enjoyed painting beautiful landscapes. As a young child, growing up in Detroit Lakes, MN, she was encouraged to create art by her family. Her art emphasizes the beauty of nature depicting natural surroundings while capturing moments in time. Inspired by local scenery, her award winning art reflects the moods created by the changing seasons and our glorious outdoors. In the past, Val has taught many painting classes including teaching for Michaels Arts and Crafts for several years, along with teaching group painting classes. Val is enthusiastic about sharing her love of creating, by captivating an inner sense of admiration of nature with her paintings.
