Ophir Creek Day Hike

This is a great hike for views of Washoe Valley starting from the Davis Creek Regional Park. This hike is rated moderately difficult due to the steep incline. We plan to hike to where the trail meets the creek for our turnaround point, approximately 4 miles round-trip and over 1,000 feet of elevation gain at a moderately fast pace. The trail may still be damp from Thursday's rain so wear good trail shoes and I recommend trekking poles. Bring at least one Liter of water, clothing for weather conditions, and a snack or lunch for our break at the creek. Well-mannered dogs are welcome with a leash for the early part of the trail.
