I’m drawn to the immediacy of charcoal, pencil, and pastel which allow for both precision and spontaneity, as well as to the layered possibilities of digital and mixed media. Rooted in early studies of gesture and anatomy, my figure work explores questions of presence, identity, and the stories our bodies tell. I’m equally engaged in creating and curating, and have spent the past decade contributing to this community-centered gallery space that values access, experimentation, and dialogue across disciplines. For me, drawing remains both a grounding force and a way of seeing: an act of attention, empathy, and transformation." \- Barbara "Babs" Early ![]() . Pictured: works by Barbara Early @obabso
