Open Mic Jam Hosted by singer LAVAHI

About this event

ONE SHOW ONLY: 8:00pm. Georgia’s LONGEST-RUNNING OPEN MIC JAM is at The Velvet Note, and you are invited! Open Mic is a little like Karaoke, but much, much better, with full bar and kitchen, too. Tonight is special– with a full cast of characters in our house band, including host LAVAHI! Come out and listen to or jam with our extraordinary house band, or take the stage all on your own. Bring your talent, bring date, bring your instrument, bring your clapping hands, and join the fun. Often attended by club owner Tamara Fuller and she’s always on the hunt for talent! LAVAHI is an Atlanta-based jazz and soul vocalist, songwriter, and educator whose expressive storytelling and inventive approach to the voice bring fresh life to beloved standards and original music alike. Blending jazz improvisation with the warmth of soul, she creates performances that feel personal, spontaneous, and deeply connected to her audience. Her résumé includes appearances at the Atlanta Jazz Festival, Capital Jazz Festival, New York’s Dizzy’s Club, and Blues Alley, along with touring through the South Arts Jazz Roads program with Atlanta’s BOOM! Trio. Whether reimagining a classic or sharing her own songs, LAVAHI invites listeners into an intimate musical conversation.
